Mitchell Covington is an award-winning composer, conductor and educator working in the San Francisco Bay Area. His music spans many genres including music for chorus, orchestra, film, television, stage and video games.

 

Mitchell’s music for film, television and visual media combines live and sampled instruments, using the finest musicians, state-of-the-art audio hardware and cutting-edge digital audio software to create vibrant, compelling musical scores.

 

Mr. Covington has been awarded the Aaron Copeland Foundation Meet the Composer Award, a regional Emmy award, and several film festival awards and prizes. His scores have  appeared in deocumentaries, international film festivals and on prime-time, nationally broadcast television.

 

Highly collaborative and professional, Mitchell loves to create music that will help to tell the story and serve the drama and emotion of film, television and visual media.

 

With degrees in composition and conducting from USC and San Francisco State Univ., experience performing in various bands, conducting and composing for symphony orchestras, plus a deep understanding of today's digital audio technology, Mitchell brings the right combination of skills to any project.
